The Kapfenberg Bulls completed their roster for the 2013-2014 season with the signing of the Austrian Champion Ian Boylan.
ECE Bulls Kapfenberg agreed terms with 30-year old American Ian Boylan. Last season he played at BC Zepter Vienna. In 43 games he had 9.8ppg, 3.9rpg, 5.5apg (1st in the league)
and 1.3spg. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended
the regular season at the second place. They also made it to the cup
final. It was quite an impressive season as he was named to
Eurobasket.com Austrian League All-Imports Team, 2nd Team and
All-Defensive Team. The previous (11-12) season Boylan played at BBC Monthey in Swiss league. In 34 games he recorded 13.4ppg, 4.2rpg, 4.5apg
and 2.6spg (in top 3) that season. He contributed to his team ending the
regular season as at the second position in the league. They also
played in the cup final. They also advanced to the league semifinals. In 2010-11 season Boylan played at Gmunden Swans.
In 86 A Bundesliga games he recorded 10.5ppg, 3.2rpg, 4.0apg and 2.3spg
(in top 3). He contributed to his team winning the supercup and make to
league final. Quite impressive season as he was voted Eurobasket.com
All-Austrian League Import Player of the Year, Guard of the Year and
named to 1st Team. Boylan has played previously professionally in Poland (Anwil) and Portugal (Ginasio). He attended Cal State - Northridge until 2005 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
