Isbetcherian becomes a Lions

Paul Isbetcherian inked his first contract playing for the Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions in the highest league in Austria.

The 19-year-old Austrian Guard Paul Isbetcherian will play his first season in the Admiral Basketball Superliga for the Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions. After playing two years for the Mistelbach Mustangs, the Youth National Team player felt that playing in the highest league in Austria is the perfect next step in his development.

The Traiskirchen Lions ended the last season with a 3-2 defeat in the Quarterfinals against the Gmunden Swans and for the new season the Lions plan to heavily increase the minutes of talented Austrians. Isbetcherian proved that he is one of most talented Austrians in his age as he led the U18 National Team during the 2018 European Championships. He finished the tournament with 20.5 Points, 5.4 Rebounds, 5.3 Assists and 2.8 Steals per game.
