The 2012-2013 Play-Offs of the Austrian league start today with the first Quarterfinals. We are proud to have players on the Top 3 teams after the Regular season.
Jason Chappell′s Klosterneuburg Dukes finished the Regular Season on the first place
after a heartbreaking finish and they clinched the first spot on the last round
of the season. Today the defending champion starts their play-off campaign
against the Fürstenfeld Panthers. Jason will be sidelined today due to a hand
injury but he is expected to return to the team during the Play-offs. Last
season his Dukes did also start against the Panthers and at the end they could
celebrate the championship title.
Ian Boylan’s
BC Zepter Vienna is starting the Quarterfinals against the WBC Raiffeisen Wels.
Vienna lost the first position on the round after leading the league for 31
rounds and know they will have the 7th placed team for the first
Quarterfinal. Boylan is one of the key-players on the squad as he is leading the
league in Assists per game (5.7) and he is playing almost 35 minutes per game
scoring 10.5ppg, having 1.6spg and 3.3rpg. Boylan is a proven winner has he has
reached numerous Finals throughout his career.
Joey Shaw’s
ece Bulls Kapfenberg finished the Regular Season on the third position and they
will face the Güssing Knights today. Shaw knows how to win the Championship as
he celebrated the title with the Oberwart Gunners during this rookie season. During
this season he is scoring 17.0 along with 4.6rpg, 1.6apg and 0.7bpg in 30
minutes per game.
All three
player have won the Championship in Austria before and he hope to see all of
them in the Semifinals and Finals.
