Desean Hampton returns to Luxembourg

We are pleased to announce that our client, Desean Hampton, has signed with Black Star Mersch for the 2025/26 season in Luxembourg’s Nationale 2. The club has set its sights firmly on promotion to the top division, and Desean’s arrival marks a significant step toward that goal.

This move also represents a return to Luxembourg for Desean, who previously played the 2023/24 season with Schieren Black Frogs. In 27 games that year, he averaged 18.0 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.0 blocks per game, while shooting 62.0% from two-point range, 32.9% from three, and 64.8% from the line (heinrich-sports.com). His dominant rebounding and rim protection made him one of the most impactful big men in the league.

Following his success in Luxembourg, Desean expanded his career to North Macedonia, suiting up for KK Gostivar and KK Vardar Skopje in the Prva Liga, where he continued to demonstrate his efficiency and defensive presence.

Now, back in Luxembourg with Black Star Mersch, Desean brings not only familiarity with the Nationale 2 but also valuable international experience. His inside presence, rebounding dominance, and ability to protect the paint will be key assets as Mersch pursues its clear objective: promotion to the Total League.
