The Austro-American Guard / Forward Jamie Kohn will continue his professional in the Austrian Basketball Bundesliga playing for the Fürstenfeld Panthers during the 2013-2014 season.
The 24 year
old Jamie Kohn was born in Austria and he is holding an Austrian passport ever
since. During his youth he moved to the USA and he attended the Eastern
Connecticut State University and he was one of the key players during their
Sweet 16 run in 2012. During his college career he showed his great scoring and
outstanding rebounding skills for a wing player. Also he proved that he is a
very valuable defender and he was the Tournament MVP in 2012 scoring 19ppg and
grabbing 13rpg. After finishing as the number 3 rebounder of all time at
Eastern Connecticut State he moved to the United Kingdom where he joined the
Tees Valley Mohawks in the EBL. Jamie had a great rookie season as he finished
with 19.9ppg (4th in the league), 10.8rpg, 3.3apg and 1.7spg. Those outstanding
numbers helped him to win the Bosman Player of the Year award and he was also
voted in the All-league 2nd Team. Now Jamie will move on and continue his
career with the Fürstenfeld Panthers and he is very happy to play in the
Austrian league and prove his skills on that next level. Kohn is expected to
play lots of minutes on either wing position and he shall help the Panthers on
the rebounding end as well as with his scoring, defense and hustle skills.
