After starting the season with Apollon Limassol Jason Detrick now moves to Brazil to play for Paschoalotto/Bauru in the highest league.
Paschoalotto/Bauru (Paulista) signed 32-year old Austrian international small forward Jason Detrick. He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Detrick played most recently at Apollon
in Cypriot Division A. Last season he played for Lleida Basquetbol. In
38 LEB Gold games he had 14.2ppg, 3.4rpg and 2.0apg. A very impressive
season as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Bosman
Player of the Year, named to 3rd Team and named to All-Bosmans Team. The
previous (10/11) season he played at Melilla Baloncesto in LEB Gold. In 33 games that year he was fourth best scorer with impressive 15.7ppg and averaged 2.5rpg, 1.6apg and 1.0spg. Detricks team was regular season runner-up in Austrian A Bundesliga in 2005 and 2007. He
was also voted Eurobasket All-Austrian Bundesliga Player of the Year
back in 2005. Detrick represented Austria at the Qualifications to
European Championships 2013 this year. His stats at that event were 8
games: 14.1ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.5apg, 1.1spg, FGP: 41.3%, 3PT: 35.6%, FT:
84.4%. Detrick is quite experienced player. He has played also
professionally in Holland, Spain (CB Canarias,
Lleida Basquet and Lagun Aro Gipuzkoa BC) and Austria (Redwell Gunners
Oberwart and Furstenfeld Panthers). Detrick attended University of Oklahoma until 2004 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
