Nick Richards starts pro career

The Wilmington University alumni starts his professional career in the United Kingdom played for the Reading Rockets.

Nick Richards is a 6’4 left-handed Guard that is able to play either the PG, SG or SF position. After playing two seasons for the Wilmington University, he signed his first professional contract to play in the British NBL.

During his senior season the All-Conference First Team member averaged 20.6 Points, 6.3 Rebounds, 3.8 Assists and 2.3 Steals per game.

The Rockets add a very athletic player, who loves to attack the basket and finish around the rim or get to the charity stripe. Richards is a very good rebounder for a player his size and he will do whatever it takes to win every game.

In a first statement Richards said: “I’m excited to get to Reading and play under Coach Alan along with the rest of the coaching staff. This should be an interesting season as we hope to accomplish the main goal, winning the Championship. I can’t wait to come in and compete with the rest of the team and even more excited to join the Rockets, meet our fans and overall see what Reading has to offer! Get ready for a great exciting season!"

Last season the Reading Rockets finished sixth in the Standings and they plan to play a similar season this year.
