Mario Fernandes ended his most successful season
as a professional basketball player by winning every competition in Portugal
this year. Benfica was able to complete the regular season with a record of
19-1 and during the Play-Off run they did only lose one game in the Semifinals
but they could sweep the series of the Quarterfinals and Finals. Over 28 games
during the season Fernandes recorded 7.3ppg, 2.2rpg, 6.1apg (4th in the league)
and 1.5spg while shooting 58.3% from 2 point distance, 34.2% from 3 point range
and 83.9% from the charity stripe. Fernandes will also wear the Benfica jersey
for the 2014-2015 and their goal is it to defend their dominance in Portugal.
