Benfica clinch SuperCup title
Benfica earned the first trophy of the season. They held off Vitoria SC to claim the SuperCup title.
Benfica claimed a 26:20 lead after ten minutes of action. They maintained the lead throughout the second frame. The Reds accumulated a 43:34 halftime cushion. Benfica cleared off to a 19-point distance early in the third term. They eased to a comfortable 69:50 lead at the end of three quarters. But Vitoria changed the complexion of the game in the final frame. They quickly cut the distance to 10 points. Vitoria soon narrowed the gap to just two points 79:81. Benfica however withstood the challenge and snatched a tough victory at the end (86:82). Mario Fernandes finished the game with 13 Points, 5 Rebound and 5 Assists
