Kapelan moves South

Diego Kapelan has signed with Apollon Limassol in Cyprus! After a challenging debut for Diego Kapelan which saw him start out with Zrinjski in the Bosnian league and then ending in Germany. Diego Kapelan has been recognized and rewarded for his hard work with his signing with Cyprus powerhouse Apollon Limassol! Apollon Limassol was runner up in their Cyprus league last year and will take part in Eurochallenge qualifiers with a chance to play in group G of the Eurochallenge this year. Apollon is rebuilding their roster and is counting on Diego to be one of the leaders of his team. Diego won′t be the first Bosnian to play for the team, both Abdurahaman Kahrimanovic and Armend Kahrimanovic played big roles with the team in the past.

Diego played very well for both Zrinjski and ETB Wohnbau Baskets Essen last season. Diego has been a member of the Bosnia and Hercigovina National Team and has proven his commitment to being a professional and being a leader on and off the court. No doubt Diego will have a great career as a professional basketball player in Europe and this is just the beginning. Diego has proven to be one of the best shooting guards from the Balkans playing in Europe today!
