Lewis returns to Georgia

Last season, the 6’10 Center Wendell Lewis played for CIU in the A League of Georgia and Lewis was one of the most dominant player in the entire country. The 30-year-old Lewis finished the year with 17 Points, 11.5 Rebounds, 1 Assist and 1 Block per game. He helped his team to reach the Finals and Lewis was honored as the Player of the Year as well as Center and Import Player of the Year. In addition, he was a member of the All-League First and All-Imports Team in Georgia’s A League.

After playing several years in South America and Asia, Lewis heads into his second season in Europe and he is ready to make the same impact in the Superleague. The season starts on Sunday, when BC Vera faces last season’s finalist of BC Kutaisi.
