New Point Guard at Heinrich Sports

The 25 year old Guard Deron Powers played 3 years at the Hampton University before moving to Hofstra for his seniors season in college basketball. He finished his senior season with the Flying Dutchmen with 13 Points, 2.4 Rebounds and 5.2 Assists per game. After finishing his college career at the end of the 2016-2017 the speedy Point Guard started his professional career with a short stint at Mgzavrebi Tbilisi in the Georgian Superleague. After 5 games he averaged 15.8ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.2apg and 1.6spg while playing over 34 minutes per game.

Even though he was a key member of the team, Deron decided to leave Georgia and unfortunately the parties couldn’t agree on a termination of cooperation and with this fact Deron couldn’t join another team for the rest of the season as the team from Tbilisi clearly stated that they will refuse to obtain the Letter of Clearance unless a buy-out fee would be paid.
