Safee is an offensive threat from a variety of spots on the court. He can score in a multitude of ways. His ballhandling skills, coupled with his size (6′5, 200lbs), make him tough to stop going to the basket or pulling up from the perimeter.

He relies a lot on his step back jumper as well as his hesitation and crossover move. Safee can finish at the rim with either hand. His size and strength give him an advantage driving to the basket.

His range extends well beyond the European three-point line. He has shown that he makes shots from NBA range without too much difficulty. He prefers shooting off the dribble, but he is also effective in catch-and-shoot situations.

As a big guard, he rebounds well for his position.
